PEL’s founder and business development director, Dr. Steve Jones said "the purpose of the facility is to provide European companies with a secure and extremely well-equipped facility where, in partnership with PEL, they can develop new ink jet processes much faster and at a significantly lower cost than can be achieved using in-house operations."

He added, "we have been very fortunate to partner with some of the very best equipment and system suppliers, in particular, our ultra-high accuracy ink jet deposition system and ink jet analysis systems have been supplied by Colorado-based Imaging Technologies International (iTi). This system gives us the ability to print multiple materials at extremely high resolutions over a large substrate area".
